A full weekend of tournament action saw eight Lakeside teams take to the court in OVA tournament action! Congratulations to all of our teams that participated in 16U and 18U events on both Saturday November 11th and Sunday November 12th. For most teams, this was their first tournament action of the season and some great results were achieved.
Round Up for the weekend:
18U Upanga: played in a 12-team event in St. Catherines and ended up finishing the day in 5th place.
17U Isihlangu: participated in an 18U Championship event and placed 3rd.
16U Takoba: played in 16U Trillium Green in Woodbridge and took home 2nd place.
16U Askari: secured their first couple of match wins on the season and finished 5th in their event.
16U Aquila: Took top honours at a 16U Trillium White event with some convincing match wins along the way.
15U Billao: participated in a 16U event and placed 5th for their efforts at their first tournament of the season.
15U Shujaa: attending their first event of the year, the young Shujaa squad took 5th place at their 16U event.
15U Sjambok: a fun first tournament of the season at 16U with a couple of set victories on the day!
We look forward to seeing our 14U teams in action on November 18th as they participate in their first OVA action of the season!
