Congratulations to Team Canada for securing the final spot in the 2024 FIVB World Championship event for U17.  The team took down Dominican Republic at the NORCECA U17 Championship in Honduras in the 3rd place match by winning in four sets.

A special congratulations goes out to Alexia Cornea, a member of the 17U Lakeside Isihlangu team, for her solid play and performance throughout the entire event.  Alexia helped power the team to victory in the final match with precision passing, timely blocks and methodical attacking at critical junctures.  We are proud of Alexia’s accomplishments and look forward to watching her continue to develop into a top level volleyball player and athlete in Ontario and for Team Canada.

Alexia will now return her focus to OVA volleyball.  A 17U Premier Division tournament, the Challenge Cup, is on tap for her team this coming weekend as Lakeside Volleyball Club hosts a total of nine top teams from across the Province.  Good luck to the Isihlangu!
