The start of the 14U OVA season is officially underway!
All four of our young teams participated in the OVA Provincial Cup on Saturday Nov 18th. This marked the first time our teams have played a competitive match for the 2023-24 season.
Our 14U teams are comprised of 40 kids ranging from 10 – 14 years of age. A number of the girls were part of our Summer Academy, but a larger portion of the group is new to the game and/or were part of a house league program or on their school team. Many of these players are playing “rep” volleyball for the first time, so hats off to them for surviving the hustle, bustle and stress of their first weekend of high level competition.
While the score board did not reflect the level of energy and enthusiasm on the court, the learnings that the players and coaches took away from this weekend’s events will propel our teams forward. We are excited to enter a new phase of the season. Congrats to all four teams…upwards and onwards!
